This Bboy Battle situation came about as most of my tracks do, experimenting with drum patterns or synths or leads or whatever. You spot a little riff of a lead and have to run with it. This one got away from me quickly and took on a life of its own, especially when the grinding bass/electric guitar lead drops in at the top of the second minute.
The build-up falls gently into a dream-like state of piano interlude which is actually taken from one of my dearest and most long-term song projects, a jammy I wrote and produced countless drafts of over the years called “Sober Friends”. I want you to hear it as much as you want yourself to hear it.
But in the meantime, this jamster has gotten some favor in the Bboy community and that’s always appreciated.
